Summer 2025 Season in Wrap Up

Summer 2025 Season Recap: Highlights, Achievements, and Looking Forward

Summer 2025 has flown by, and what a remarkable season it has been for our team at Rebecca Caulfield Eventing and Triple Creek Eventing. From local competitions to international stages, our dedicated riders and horses have demonstrated resilience, growth, and a true passion for the sport. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights, achievements, and memorable moments from this incredible season.

July Highlights

Our July schedule was filled with opportunities for growth and success. Becca and Horacio competed at several recognized USDF dressage shows, accumulating scores toward their bronze medal. Our journey has been marked by refining movements, building confidence, and preparing for Rebecca Farms 2*, which was rapidly approaching.

Meanwhile, the Mile High School Horse Trials was a fantastic local event that provided a fun yet challenging environment for our team. Over the two days, riders from our team competed across multiple disciplines, resulting in great placements and personal bests. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, and our team demonstrated remarkable improvements across all phases, culminating in some impressive results in a highly competitive field:

  • Ella & Sansa finished 6th in Open Training

  • Charlotte & Bunny placed 7th in Beginner Novice

  • Devin & Bean finished 8th in Beginner Novice

  • Raven & Tobin took 1st in Starter

  • Natalie & Calico finished 8th in Starter

  • Logan & Major earned 2nd in Novice

  • Pat Parkhill & Tigger placed 7th in Novice

Rebecca Farms: The Season’s Crown Jewel

The highlight of our summer was unquestionably Rebecca Farms. Despite the long journey, this top-tier venue never disappoints—it’s a world-class event with stunning scenery, excellent facilities, and a course that truly tests every skill of horse and rider alike. Competing in the FEI 2* was a significant step up, involving jogs, vet inspections, and all the logistical demands of international competition. We faced these challenges head-on, and the results were truly rewarding:

Rebecca Farms Results:

  • Charlotte & Fernhill Kannan Cruis — 12th in Beginner Novice

  • Lina & Frosty’s Choice — 2nd in Novice

  • Ella & Sansa — 5th in Modified

  • Becca & Fernhill Opulence — 17th in their first FEI 2* event

Horacio shows his love of cross country over this massive table.

August Adventures and Local Triumphs

Our local competitions continued to offer valuable lessons. The Bayou Gulch Horse Trials at Colorado Horse Park was a special return to this familiar venue. It felt like coming home, and competing in the Coors Arena was an invaluable experience. Although we faced some mixed results:

  • Ella & Sansa finished 3rd in Modified

  • Raven & Tobin finished 2nd in Starter

  • Devin & Bean finished 8th in Beginner Novice

These lessons were priceless, and our riders are steadily improving and gaining confidence for all that’s ahead.

We also participated in The Event at Archer. The weekend was a true testament to our team’s resilience and growth:

The Event at Archer 2025 Results:

  • 1st Place – Area IX Prelim Championships: Becca & Fernhill Opulence

  • 6th Place – Beginner Novice: Devin & Bean

  • 11th Place – Starter: Mary & Folly

  • Honorable Mentions: Ella & Charlotte both had beautiful rides with just a few tough breaks, but they showed incredible growth and determination throughout the weekend.

This event was a weekend of learning, camaraderie, and perseverance. I am incredibly proud of our group’s effort, and it truly showed what can be accomplished through hard work and a supportive team.

Mary and Folly the unstoppable duo.

AECs at Galway, Temecula CA

Although we had a record number of pairs qualified for AECs only Ella and Coach Becca made the trip to California. We had a wonderful week surrounded by the best pairs in the country, and what an inspirational venue. We sure loved being there.
Sadly, Horacio was not up for jumping after the long season and long trip and we made the decision to withdraw after dressage, a difficult but at the same time incredibly easy to put the health of my horse first. However I am incredibly proud to announce:

Ella and Sansa placed 4th in Modified at AECs!

Congratulations Ella and Sansa on their accomplishments! We are so proud of you!

Wrapping Up the Season

As we turn the page to the next chapter, we’re already excited for upcoming events like Tomora Horse Trials, where we’ll continue to build on these successes, pushing toward new goals with enthusiasm and teamwork.

This season has been a whirlwind of challenges, lessons, and victories. I am immensely grateful for every rider, horse, supporter, and supporter — your dedication and passion make this journey so rewarding. We’re eager for what the future holds and can’t wait to share more successes, growth, and memories with you all.

Thank you for following along with our journey. Here’s to many more adventures ahead!
